We are looking for two passionate, talented, collegiate practitioners to join our dedicated team working within the Learning Support Department and across the whole academy.
The successful candidates will be part of a team of Learning Support Assistants led by our Assistant Principal/SENCo who will share and learn from one another as the academy grows.
Our new Learning Support Assistants will work with students on a 1:1 basis and with small groups. Experience of working with students with Speech and Language difficulties and ASD would be an advantage although not essential. They will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve, whatever it takes.
Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield.
The school will open in a superb new building in September 2018 with 120 in Year 7, closely followed by nursery provision in January 2019, and will grow year on year to a roll of over 1800 students, aged 3-18. The primary phase and a specialist resource provision is coming on board from 2019, along with Amen Corner North (ACN), a primary school a mile away.
As a new build, KAB will enjoy outstanding facilities, both internally and externally. We have appointed outstanding founding staff thus far, and now seek to add this key role to our team. As a new and rapidly growing school, this is a rare and exciting opportunity.
The post is for 32.5 hours per week (term time only). Hours of work will be 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work additional days during the holidays may be required.
KAB and ACN are part of the King’s Group Academies MAT led by a team of former and current Ofsted ‘outstanding’ head teachers and Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI). Please note link to King’s Group Academies Vision and Mission - https://kingsacademies.uk/about-us/vision-and-mission/
King’s Education separately operates British schools abroad, educating over 4,000 students in countries such as Spain, Latvia and Panama, offering exciting opportunities for genuine international collaboration.
King’s Academy Binfield is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
