Are you looking for an exciting role at one of Bracknell Forest Council’s key leisure attractions?
You will ensure the smooth operation of our gift shop helping to maximise sales. Your duties will include selling and displaying stock, serving and demonstrating goods to our customers, using the till and cashing up. The gift shop needs to be well stocked at all times so you will also need to liaise with the shop supervisor to help with ordering new stock, working with suppliers and help to develop sales.
You will need to have excellent customer care and communication skills, be enthusiastic and positive with a friendly personality. Shop experience would be an advantage but full training will be given to the right candidate.
The ability to converse easily with members of the public and respond effectively to questions in spoken English is also required.
The Look Out Discovery Centre is a very popular visitor attraction with a hands on science and discovery exhibition, gift shop and play area, set in 1,000 hectares of Crown Estate woodland. The Look Out opens 7 days a week. Our aim is to make sure that our visitors have a safe, relaxing and enjoyable experience at all times, and the successful applicant will play a key role in achieving this.
