‘One’ Principal Business Analyst
The London Borough of Waltham Forest has implemented a new system for the automated and scheduled exchange of electronic personal data from schools management information systems to the council’s ‘One’ Central pupil database.
The implementation of this system has created an exciting opportunity for a ‘One’ Principal Business Analyst. The role requires the post holder to analyse the requirements of our customers translating these into real world solutions for their data needs and playing a key role in enabling the Council to meet its statutory obligations. Prior knowledge or experience of the educational scene including admissions and transfers, SEN and attendance would be advantageous.
Once these processes are implemented this post will be responsible for the training of managers and senior caseworkers on the appropriate use of ‘One’ service modules.
To assist our customers in their data needs the post-holder will have a significant role in the quality assurance and reporting of this data from ‘One’. To fulfil the objectives of the project a major part of this role will involve the development of a suite of management information reports, which will enable strategic planning and operational decision-making. And will cover areas under:
Tracking the single child record
Children missing education
As there is a strong reliance on ICT to deliver these solutions to the desktop and the post will work with Corporate ICT and the application vendor to ensure that the database and data are readily accessible and available and maintained to the highest standards. Part of the work with ICT will require the post-holder to configure, implement and administer the modular ‘One’ central pupil database system and promote and lead on the rollout of new version 4 modules. The work therefore requires the provision of an extensive range of expert technical advice and support to the users of the system.
Experience in address validation and reconciliation and the use of up to date LLPG data will be a distinct advantage.
