Children’s Centres are a national initiative to improve outcomes for families of children under five. They offer a range of services including family support, health services, information sessions and a wide range of other services to meet local need. The centres work with local health professionals, early years providers, voluntary organisations and other agencies using a multi-agency approach to create opportunities for parents with pre-school children.
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our team of three Children’s Centre administrators. You will need to be enthusiastic, friendly and assertive as the post holder will be a key member of the children’s centre team. You will need to be well organised, able to work to deadlines and committed to being an integral part of the team. You will need to be confident and able to engage new families into the centre, some of whom might be experiencing a range of difficulties. You will be committed to safeguarding families.
You will also need experience of working in a busy office environment, have excellent IT and communication skills and a willingness to be flexible and enjoy working in a constantly changing and sometimes challenging environment. Ideally, you will have had some experience of working in an organisation that delivers services to children and families.
This post is for a full time position of 37 hours per week but the ability to work on a flexible basis is essential as some evening and weekend work might be required.
