Sevenoaks District Council is a high performing authority with an enviable track record of providing excellent services for its residents. 

We are now looking for a Building Control Surveyor to help us continue to improve the way we deliver our services in conjunction with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, ensuring we continue to meet the ever increasing expectations of our customers and to help us keep a strong focus on value for money.

Working as part of the Shared Service Building Control Team you will have a varied and interesting role.  Duties will include checking plans in accordance with the Building Regulations, carrying out site inspections on projects and responsibility for responding to reports of dangerous structures.

The successful candidate will be experienced within Building Control and will have a proven track record in dealing with residential and commercial property. If you have a positive, team working approach to service delivery this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a real impact in improving our services.

The post holder will be required to travel throughout the Sevenoaks District and Tonbridge and Malling Borough.
