You will be responsible for providing high quality legal advice, assistance and representation to the Council on legal matters relating to one or more of the following areas of law: Child protection, Adult care and safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Mental Health, Education (including SEN).
You will comply with quality assurance procedures, service level agreements and performance management requirements in order to meet the expectations of the clients.
You will contribute towards and encourage a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and excellence within Legal Services.
For postholders working in contentious areas of law (including but not limited to Adults, Education and Child Care) you will undertake advocacy at civil and criminal courts and at tribunals (eg SEN tribunals).
Applicants must hold/have the following:
- Qualified barrister or solicitor with full valid practising certificate
