Fixed Term Contract - 18 months
Putting the council’s reputation at the heart of all you do is just the beginning of this demanding and rewarding role in a very busy and friendly team. Your expertise in proactive and reactive media relations, marketing campaigns and social media management will enable you to work confidently with a high level of autonomy and at high levels; quickly grasping organisational culture and juggling a busy workload.
In a team of six and reporting to the head of service, you will account manage the internal and external communications and marketing requirements for a number of the council’s key strategic and complex projects. You will also be part of an out of hours media rota, for which additional payment is made, and will attend evening meetings, so flexibility is essential.
Your role and responsibilities will be clearly defined and you will have hands on support from senior staff. As a team we are continually learning how to work better and smarter, so your experiences and ideas will be warmly welcomed.
