This is not a Medway Council vacancy, this has been advertised on behalf of The Metro Centre Ltd.
This is a fixed term contract until the end of June 2015.
METRO is seeking a committed, motivated and innovative worker to implement a new programme of provision for LGBTQ young people (aged 16 to 25 years) in Medway. The aim of the project is to improve the health and well-being of LGBTQ young people and help to counter the effects of isolation that may result from the rural setting of the area.
This provision will offer a monthly information surgery (together with the existing METRO ‘Positive Futures’ project) to assess the needs of young people and direct them to appropriate services that they may benefit from. It will also offer fortnightly peer-support group meetings for young people that will be based around the planning of a youth summit to be held in Medway in Spring 2015.
This summit event will be the culmination of several months of development and preparation and an exciting opportunity to unite young people who have been involved in the programme’s work. Further information surgeries will then continue up until the end of the funded period in June 2015.
Please see application pack below for further information. You can download an application form and further information by visiting https://www.metrocentreonline.org/work-with-us/vacancies/
Interviews will take place on Tuesday September 2nd 2014, in the morning.
