Sevenoaks District Council is looking for a Facilities Management Assistant whose primary role will be to ensure the efficient collection and distribution of internal and external post at the Argyle Road Council Offices. The role will involve sorting and distributing incoming mail and correspondence including the processing of incoming revenue and completion of relevant documents, collection and preparation of outgoing mail including tasks such as franking mail and preparing large bulk mail outs, recording and entering data from relevant processes and preparation of invoices is also carried out on a daily basis. It will also involve contributing to the running of other Facilities Management services when necessary.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills both on the telephone and face to face. A positive, “can do attitude” to work is vital to the role as well as is having excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will also be required to have good general numeracy skills and a working knowledge of computers, ideally internet usage and Microsoft Office, previous experience of data management software is desirable. You will be a quick learner, willing to contribute to the continuing development of the service as well as adapting to the changing needs of the organisation.
