As one of three HR Consultants reporting to the Head of Employee Relations the main focus of this role will be to lead in employee relations casework function ensuring continuous improvement within the team to ensure the Council manages its workforce in accordance with current legislative framework and best practice. Therefore demonstrable achievement in this area along with the ability to interpret a wide range of management information to inform this work will be required as will the preparation of reports for management use.

You will be responsible for resolving complex employee relations issues and providing specialist advice to managers who are leading on the resolution of employee relations issues and support change management processes.

 In addition to this you will lead key HR projects and initiatives as well as supporting continuing improvement.

You will be an organised and confident individual who is CIPD qualified and is able to demonstrate evidence of having worked successfully at band 3 of the CIPD Professional Map. You will also have up to date knowledge of employment law and evidence of continuous professional development.
