Stoneydown is an inclusive community school that has been judged by OFSTED as a good school with ‘exceptional care, guidance and support’.We are expanding, over a period of time, to become a 3-form entry school so this would be an exciting time to join our team.

We have a vacancy for an Administration Assistant who is enthusiastic and hardworking to join our excellent team. The school will be expanding over two sites from September 2014 and we require an additional administrator to provide front of house support at one of our two sites. You will be joining an evolving office structure with several new posts being created in the team to accommodate the school’s expansion which offers an opportunity to the right candidate to bring some fresh thinking and invigoration to the school’s administrative function.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a positive attitude and be capable of dealing with a busy office environment. They will need to liaise with parents, staff and pupils alike with an equally friendly and approachable manner. You will also be expected to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Office and School Business Manager, as well as members of SLT and the school’s governors. Experience of working with school Management Information Systems, particularly SIMS, would be particularly advantageous.

The post is open to candidates new to the administrator role as well as more experienced applicants who could be eligible for a Level 2 administrator position, with the right amount of experience.

Stoneydown Park Primary School is right at the heart of the local community and is a friendly, multicultural school in Walthamstow, East London. The school adjoins an attractive park and is two minutes walk from bus routes and Blackhorse Road station. Walthamstow High Street and market is five minutes walk away.

Most classes have 30 pupils. The Nursery has 26 part time pupils in the morning and afternoon. The vast majority of children are motivated and behave well. They represent a range of backgrounds, cultures and languages.

Staff are more than willing to help each other, share good practice, be on hand for advice and generally work together as part of a team to make Stoneydown a positive school to work in for staff, children and visitors.
