We are looking for a qualified social worker to join our busy Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). Bracknell Forest MASH launched in 2016 and has had a successful first year. It is the single point of contact for all safeguarding concerns regarding children and young people living in Bracknell. The MASH brings together a team of professionals from a number of partner agencies to deal with all safeguarding concerns for a child/young person.
Within the MASH, information from partner agencies is collated to assess risk and decide what action to take. As a result, the agencies will be able to act quickly, in a co-ordinated and consistent way, ensuring that vulnerable children and families are kept safe and supported. A primary function of the social worker role is to assist in managing contacts and identify any child protection concerns, liaise with professionals, family members and undertake confidential MASH enquiries.
The role is within a busy and supportive team undertaking both Single Assessments under Child in Need and Child Protection enquiries on new referrals into Children’s Social Care. The Assessment Team performs at a high level, with supportive management and a staff team that are enthusiastic and committed to the children they work with and to raising standards of practice.
You will be committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and bring a sound knowledge of relevant child care legislation, good report writing skills, communication skills and an ability to relate to children, young people and their families. Our staff are our greatest asset and you will receive regular supervision; have access to excellent training opportunities and the ability to develop your professional skills and interests.
